a month or so ago, i posted a video of paul weller and the jam covering curtis mayfield’s “move on up”. i just found out that video has been taking down by youtube. ugh. but in it’s place is this video of the way My Morning Jacket opened their show at MSG last night on New Year’s Eve. Wow. I particularly like the solo Jim James and Carl Broemel deliver down about 6 mins into this song. MMJ is an amazing live band, maybe the best playing right now. I wish I was there but you can’t be in two places at the same time.
This was an incredible concert. They played straight through for about 4 hours.
