TicketFUCKER
OK, I get that everyone rants about Ticketmaster. And hopefully competition with LiveNation will get them to clean up their act (I’m not holding my breath). I’ve been using TM long enough to be pretty quick with reloading the page as the event goes onsale, putting in the captchas, blah blah. I’ve also resigned myself to the fact that in NYC you just aren’t going to a) get great seats to high-demand events through Ticketmaster or b) get tickets at all.
BUT HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT WHEN THE FIRST THING THEY SHOW ON THE PAGE THAT SAYS “Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available” IS AN OFFER TO BUY TICKETS AT WAY OVER FACE VALUE ON TICKETSNOW?
I also understand the scalping industry. It exists and it’s not going away; I get that. But Ticketmaster owns TicketsNow and they use the “your event is sold out” page to advertise all the tickets available at jacked up prices through a reseller outfit that they own!?!? GRRRRRRR.
